It's Charlie. Marvel just dropped a surprise final trailer for the Thunderbolts movie. There's a bunch of stuff going on here. A bunch of new footage. So we'll break it all down. A bunch of Easter eggs. And we just had the Daredevil born again finale. And there were a bunch of things that happened. It takes place in New York City. It takes place before the events of the Thunderbolts movie. So there were a lot of questions about how the events of Daredevil born again will affect the Thunderbolts movie. Because it's all happening in and around New York City. Now the Thunderbolts movie travels all over the United States a little bit. But for the most part, the big climax of the movie does take place inside New York City. So try to explain the timeline on that in how the movies and the TV shows are meant to work going forward. Going into Avengers Doomsday. Because like that's the big thing that we're all building up to. How is Avengers Doomsday going to spill over and affect everything else is happening in the MCU. Both TV shows and movies. This is like the next big task master question. Like where is task master and how quickly have they killed her off? And is that why she's not in any of the trailers right now? If you're brand new to the channel, be sure to subscribe to get all the videos. There's supposed to be a couple other big traders coming from a couple different places this week too. We might even get a Mandalorian and Grogu trailer over in the Star Wars related stuff just because celebration is happening this weekend. So whatever other trailers wind up dropping, of course I will do videos for all that stuff as soon as possible. One of the biggest new things that they confirmed during this trailer footage is how they deal with the void character. So obviously most of the conversation up to this point with all the footage has been on what they're doing with the century in the MCU and live action. Because he's so OP in the comics he has a laundry list of powers. There's no way they can do all of them justice. Century is one of the most powerful characters that Marvel has ever introduced in the comics. Not the most powerful like they're more powerful characters like Noel, God of the Void, who ripped century in half recently in the comics. So like there are people that could solo century, but none of these Thunderbolts are any of those characters not even close. So ever since they officially started releasing the footage, the trailers, at least a couple people on every single Thunderbolts video that I've ever posted, even though I tried to explain this every single time in the explanation doesn't change, asks how they're supposed to defeat the century. It doesn't make sense. Every single time my answer is usually when I address that talk no jutsu, take down. Sun's getting real low, kind of take down where they don't actually fight him to stop him. They get him to back down. And in this trailer, they really just confirmed that twist and how they're going to do that during this move. Like literally how it's going to play out in the film. And what you actually see is the Elena when she's talking to the others about how dejected they all are. Like is it climax of the movie? They're about to go into the void to actually deal with the void itself in century. Val is lost complete control of him like he's turned into void form. And it seems like another world ending event is going to wipe New York City in the rest of the planet. RIP planet Earth again. Would not be a giant Avengers level Marvel movie if the earth was not threatened at some point. Literally, Elena says there's no way we can beat him on our own. So we have to team up together and figure out a way to actually stop him. Then at the end of the trailer, you see her running into that void space with red guardians screaming for her to stop. But they all eventually follow her in there. You can actually see footage of them finding Bob in his old playing clothes getting attacked by the giant chicken here. Make all the family guide jokes you on. But when it actually comes to how they deal with the century in the void during the movie like how do the Thunderbolts characters actually get him to back down and not destroy New York City in the world. There's a scene of Elena below the seeming like she's talking to Bob inside the void in the way they're depicting the void in the movie is it is alternate personality of the century just like he is in the comics and ultra personality of Robert Reynolds. This is the way it seems like they're depicting him in the movie unless they're being misleading for the traders where it looks like a black hole version of the century. Almost as if all color has just been ripped out of his body. We can't stop him alone. No one can. And they're also giving him this domain expansion like ability where he literally covers the world itself in his void. Basically, he's able to control it all. If you've never watched Jiu Jitsu kaisen domain expansion is basically just like this self contained pocket universe that they're able to expand and pull everything into in this area of effect kind of way. Where inside the domain that they've created they have ultimate control over all reality. And it's a little bit like scarlet witch inside the hex where she is a god inside the hex. That's basically what the void is like inside this black space here this domain. And the way he voices in the trailer like you hear some lines from him in void form where he talks about their being a void. I posted a clip of the Thunderbolts a little while ago where Yalena talks about this void inside herself in a metaphorical kind of way like there's an emptiness inside her. And it seems like the parallels the movie is going for is that are also basically manifesting this in a literal way through the void personality of Robert Reynolds. And inside this black space this domain he basically manifests all their worst emotions their fears like all the worst parts of themselves their face to literally confront like he makes it real inside this space now to fight them or deal with them. That is why you see Yalena with the other version of herself that seemingly tries to kill her. There's a scene of her in the woods where it seems like it's a flashback this he's experiencing to the events of the red room when she was growing up being trained as a black widow like some traumatic event that happened in this place here. And during one of the scenes it looks like she finds Robert Reynolds like the Bob character like the meek Bob character who's not in century form or in void form and she asks him to help like she tries to help him in a mental psychological kind of way and technically the person that stops the void is the century like the Robert Reynolds part of him stops the void part of himself. So that's the real answer to how the Thunderbolts stop the void is really they just help Bob help himself that is why I've been making all the references to them being like the mental health of engines just because so much of this movie has mental health themes baked into it. Also the fact that in the comics Robert Reynolds was meant to be schizophrenic when he became the century that's how the void was created in the first place like we talk about superheroes that go kind of crazy in movies that happens often in Marvel movies. He was literally crazy when he became a superhero there's a lot of other footage going on here to especially footage of Natasha black widow which I think we're all expecting to come back during Avengers endgame but the way they presented in the movie they're making it seem like it's the lane of remembering her and then they're using footage from Avengers endgame from the other Marvel movies the way that a lot of Marvel trailers do that. You're sister understood something about that they've done this with like the last couple real big Marvel movies were like one of the final trailers will incorporate a whole bunch of Avengers endgame or other Avengers related footage one of the reasons why they're also probably doing that is because this is one of the final movies before Avengers doomsday and we're probably going to be seeing scarlet joe Hanson come back as another character from the multiverse. We get a little bit of Chris Evans captain America footage with Bucky because obviously Bucky big part of this and his mental health has been a long running theme through all the different movies since the original captain America movie Kevin Feige joke that he's actually meant to be the most mentally stable character in this movie which I think says a lot about the actual team itself. While they're showing that footage though we actually find out the songbird character who's relatively young but she's in her 20s during the events of the movie she was a little girl in New York City during the original battle of New York when they should carry attacked in that first Avengers movie she said that the Avengers showed up to save them but now in present day with what's going on with the century in the void nobody is here like the Avengers do not exist right now there is no Avengers team to come and save her leaving the door open for this rag tag group of Thunderbolts temporary title with the ass risk which they're very notable about at the end of the trailer like look at this giant asterisk temporary name probably going to be changed to something Avengers related soon where they become the ones to save the day where Bucky like literally has that voice over in the trailer says we could be the ones that save the day connecting this to the events of what just happened during the daredevil born again finale so in New York City this is meant to take place before the events of Thunderbolts the end of season one is before the events of Thunderbolts in Kington has just declared martial law it is basically a police state. In New York with the Punisher cops now being upgrade this anti vigilante task force being given way more money and are basically rolling through the streets with all kinds of military level gear. A lot of people asked because there's a big blackout during the episode to like a spider man swinging around helping people during all this like of course he would be helping people amidst all this chaos. There were open riots in the streets like this is so crazy wouldn't they be addressing this at some point during the movies like how is going to affect what's happening right after this. And I think the way they're going to explain this because daredevil born again season two is also meant to release in March along with the Punisher special presentation which is supposed to come out in February both of them releasing and finishing before they release Avengers doomsday I think that's for the important reason because they don't want to deal with the events of Avengers doomsday during daredevil season two. I thought so. They can just depict all this chaos and New York City and just keep it relatively self contained to that ground level type of stuff. So when it comes to the events of the Thunderbolts movie and they go to New York City at the end and they deal with the void like there's all this chaos New York City is almost completely destroyed is probably all over the national news when this is happening. Kingpin is still supposed to be mayor I'm not expecting them to actually address the police state or anything that's going on I think that they will just treat the daily goings on of New York City like there's a little bit of drama going on the background to be like some very light verbal references in that's it. Generally the way that marvel deals with tricky situations like this when it comes to timelines and overlapping big plots and things that should be affecting other things but it kind of complicates the way they make the movies and the movies get made long before they may be. They may be the way long before they make the TV shows but it takes them way longer to actually release them so like it all releases in this weird order the way Marvel plans for problems like that especially when so much stuff has been coming out the last couple years is that each show or movie generally ignores the other movie or TV shows their couple exceptions to this but generally it's like I said like generally they just do not deal with each other as much as possible or avoid dealing with each other as much as possible. The movie gives sentry his crazy memory altering ability where he can literally affect the memories of everybody and he just wipes everybody's memories and nobody remembers the chaos that happened with him turning into the void almost destroying the city. Personally I'm not expecting them to ever reference what happened during daredevil during the movie do not be surprised if you don't hear anything about police state mayor Fisk or what's happening with daredevil. But yes, I will say it would be a really cool if spider man had showed up during daredevil boy again we can blame Sony for that that's not Marvel's fault like Kevin Vagu would totally put spider man in daredevil born again if he could get away with that. The thing that this is meant to connect to though is Avengers doomsday in a little bit of Captain America for brave new world just because of the Bucky crossover like Bucky at the cameo scene during Captain America brave new world now he's officially a congressman in this. Then I think we're all expecting some sort of connective tissue at the end of the movie references to Avengers doomsday putting a new Avengers teen together the dark Avengers then becoming a version of the new Avengers like a big twist on that some big subversion of them becoming the new Avengers squad then maybe a better post credit scene the Captain America brave new world because that was kind of a rotten post credit scene that connects directly to doomsday. I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger initiative just wait till after this movie comes out one of the next big questions will be where was spider man and what was he doing inside the void if he got sucked in just like everybody else. Like iron hard in the fantastic for movie which is coming out this summer like I said though because Star Wars celebration is happening this weekend there's probably going to be a couple real big announcements about the future of the live action star wars universe and some of the animated shows to so maybe mandalorian and grogu trailer coming if they release that of course I'll do a new video for it.
